You have a product and a service. I bet your competitors have a similar product or service. How do you differentiate yourself from them?. Today I’m gonna share with you how to differentiate your product and service from your competitors.
1. Tell A Story
The first thing you need to do is tell a story. If people understand why your product, your company is different than the other players in the space, they’re much more likely to connect with you and buy from you. That’s why storytelling is so powerful, right? It goes back thousands and thousands of years. People connect with stories, they connect with emotion. If you don’t tell any stories on your website, people are just gonna see it as a cold corporation.
Secondly, what you need to focus on is your unique selling proposition. Your USP or Unique Selling Proposition has to be different than your competitors. For Example, if your competitors are like we’re the biggest player in the space and all the big corporations come to us, then your Unique Selling Proposition should be hey, we’re a boutique agency and when you work with us, you work with the founders. When you work with these large corporations you’re just working with some college graduates that they recently hired, right?
That’s an example of a Unique Selling Proposition, so when you combine those two strategies, you’re gonna be able to differentiate yourself from the competitors and more people are gonna be likely to be buying from your website vs other players in this space.
